Dr Horky graduated from Sydney University, then underwent specialist OBGYN training at Sydney Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women. He was admitted to the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as a Member. Subsequently he was honoured by elevation to the Fellowship of both the English College and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

 

A scholarship from the French Government saw him travel to Paris where he worked with the pioneering laparoscopic and infertility specialist Dr Raoul Palmer.

 

Further surgical skills were acquired as a senior registrar in the UK.

 

On returning to Australia Dr Horky embarked on a 30 year journey in private Ob+Gyn practice.

 

After delivering many thousand beautiful babies he turned his attention to repairing the damages caused by child birth. Initially the emphasis was on correcting prolapse and incontinence. Once that had been solved his patients pointed out their other concerns. These included unsightly vulvas, scars from tears and episiotomies and loose vaginas from damage to the pelvic floor and perineum.

 

It was obvious that advanced cosmetic knowledge was necessary to deal with these. Dr Horky went to Europe, Asia and America to learn the latest and best methods. Dr Horky has worked with Dr David Matlock of the Laser Institute of Los Angeles, Drs Miklos and Moore in Atlanta and more recently with Dr Red Alinsod of South Coast Urogynecology, Laguna Beach, California.

 

Dr Horky still uses surgical treatment whenever appropriate. But his main emphasis is on the non-surgical treatment of Incontinence, Vaginal laxity and Labial problems with lasers such as Mona Lisa and Fotona’s Intimase.

 

Dr Horky is particularly impressed by the success of the latest radio frequency modality “Thermiva” in correcting vaginal dryness, dyspareunia, augmentation of G Spot and orgasmic dysfunction as well as assisting with incontinence and vaginal laxity. Non-surgical Labiaplasty is now available.

 

Dr Horky’s management is at all times sympathetic, caring and fully confidential. He is experienced in all aspects of genital dysfunction including the psycho-sexual areas and advises treatment that will be of greatest benefit to his patient.

Whatever spare time he has, Dr Horky devotes it to his family and his many animals including miscellaneous miniature Irish Donkeys and “free to good home” rescues.

 

He is a devotee of physical fitness and healthy diet. He is an avid reader of history. Conservation of the natural world is close to his heart.
