Labiaplasty cases have been rising dramatically since 2010. It’s been reported that over 5000 labiaplasty procedures were performed in the US in 2013 and over 6000 cases in 2014. These numbers may not seem significant, however, in 2012 only about 1300 cases were reported.
The numbers are being fueled by celebrity interviews, Nationwide advertisements and major advancements in surgical techniques.
Labia related surgeries were primarily performed by gynecologists, however, plastic and cosmetic surgeons have also started promoting and offering this procedure on their websites and practices.
