Dr. Michael Goodman specializes in labiaplasty and other vulvovaginal aesthetic surgeries, peri- menopausal and sexual medicine, lifestyle enhancement, bone densiometry, pelvic ultrasounds and both routine and difficult gynecologic issues.

As a well-known expert in his field, Dr. Goodman has been a guest at numerous seminars and symposiums nation-wide and has made appearances on area network TV and talk radio. He has several citations in peer-reviewed literature, including a recent large outcome study on Female Genital Plastic Surgery, a review on the subject of Genital Plastic/Cosmetic surgery featured in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, and a comprehensive review of oral vs. transdermal (“Bio-identical”) post-menopause hormone therapy in the Journal of Women’s Health. Additionally, Dr. Goodman is actively engaged in the research area of body image and sexuality in relation to genital plastic/cosmetic surgery, and has contributed two medical journal publications in this specific area.

A critically-acclaimed author, Dr. Goodman has published two consumer-oriented books on menopause: “The midlife Bible—A Woman’s Survival Guide” and “MEN-opause: The Book for Men.” His new book, “You Want to do WHAT? Where? A Guide to Women’s Genital Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery” is soon to be published.

Dr. Goodman has practiced in Davis, CA since 2000. 

In addition to practicing medicine and promoting optimal health and well-being, Dr. Goodman enjoys writing, gardening, tennis and fitness as well as spending time with his four children, Gabriele, Lauren David, Caleb, and Sam.
